Welcome to the Northeast Region—the heart of our great nation!
Here in the Northeast we witness the splendor of the changing
seasons and marvel at historic sites where our founding fathers
once walked and are now memorialized. From New York to Virginia
and the Atlantic to Ohio, 22 local PWOCs carry on as the founding
fathers did—one faith step after another.
It is my honor and pleasure to serve as your PWOC Northeast Region
President. I pray that PWOC will be a blessing to you as you
strengthen your walk with Jesus, lead women to Christ, teach and
learn God's word, develop your spiritual gifts and involve yourself
in the work of the chapel. These are the aims of PWOC. Where does
all this growth begin? Why, I'd say with an invitation to PWOC!
Just as you received an invitation in one form or another (perhaps
from a neighbor, a military post publication or through the PWOC
website), I now charge you with extending an invitation to that new
neighbor or lady in your unit.
Recall the first verb of the Lord's Great Commission in Matthew 28:
go. Let us remember to go and reach out to our military sisters
and invite them to share in the blessings of PWOC.
Katie Wendt,
2011-2013 Northeast Region President
Katie married Eric, an Army Green Beret in 1986.
Together they have experienced the military way of life for over 25
years. A neighbor first invited Katie to the Pacific Region PWOC and
she continued attending PWOCs in four additional regions. She
practices optometry off and on, but spent the last decade homeschooling
her 17 year old daughter and 12 year old son.
