Welcome to the Europe Region!
It's been a short time since I first stepped foot off our plane and I still remember the advice from friends back in the States: "take advantage of everything Europe has to offer!" This is no small feat. From leisure travel to hiking in the alps, the countries on this continent provide military families the opportunity to explore the world in a myriad of ways. While it all sounds exciting, it's the growth of intimate relationships with sisters in my local Protestant Women of the Chapel (PWOC) that has opened my eyes to God's good gifts right here in my little village.
The Europe Region is home to more than 30 local PWOC groups, with military women gathering regularly to spark growth in their relationship with God. PWOC celebrates a rich legacy in the Europe region where it was founded more than 50 years ago. The ministry continues to remain focused on its four aims: to lead, teach, develop and involve women with the goal of promoting authentic spiritual growth. We are truly workers together for Christ.
As you discover the riches of Europe, I encourage you to take time to experience the atmosphere of intimacy, simplicity and legacy found in your local PWOC. I invite you explore this website to learn more about our vision and opportunities for service.
Kristen Rietkerk,
2011-2013 Europe Region President
